As a child I recall my family coming down from Alaska to visit her, Uncle George, and our cousins the summer they lived in that big house with a wraparound veranda and what seemed like mile high acres of corn. She was born on April 13, 1958 in Oakland, California; daughter of Raymond and Yvonne (ne Hebal) Stephens.
